Roselle RojasRoselle Rojas
Senior Research Technician
Roselle Rojas is a Senior Research Technician with GSSI with an interest in Exercise Biochemistry. She contributes to internal GSSI physiology research projects aimed at assessing hydration, performance and well being of athletes as affected by exercise, intake of sports drink and/or extreme environments by providing biochemical analyses on specimens of body fluids collected from the athletes. Roselle also assists in general laboratory operations to ensure accurate and efficient delivery of research results and laboratory safety.
Originally from Bartlett, IL, Roselle attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology. During her years in Champaign, she prepared laboratory equipments and materials for three levels of biology classes. Roselle also participated in the Illini Emergency Medical Services providing medical aid at various sporting events. She has a background working in clinics and long-term health facilities providing direct patient care. Currently she is preparing to obtain an M.S. in exercise physiology or biochemistry. Roselle was involved with the UIUC Golf Club, and also enjoys rollerblading and tennis in her leisure time.
